NEC Corporation announced the launch of its novel product, the NEC Composable Disaggregated Infrastructure Solution, offering a new way to deploy distributed computing resources such as servers and graphics processing units (GPUs). The solution is currently available in Japan, with the unveiling happening on January 15, 2026.
This innovative approach to operating distributed computing resources provides businesses with increased flexibility intended to adapt to rapidly changing business demands. The central idea of this technology is disaggregation – separating hardware components typically integrated in a single system – and in turn, enabling them to function together virtually, irrespective of their physical location.
NEC’s disaggregated infrastructure refers to the distributing and allocating hardware resources, like servers and GPUs, across a network. Users can then selectively ‘compose’ their required hardware setup from these distributed pieces offering a significant advantage in terms of flexibility and reduced unnecessary resource allocation.
The introduction of this product signals NEC’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art solutions in an increasingly digitized business environment. This infrastructure also promotes efficiency, offering businesses the ability to streamline resource deployment in tune with their respective needs and pace of growth.
