EAST END HIGHLANDERS, a renowned Japanese children's apparel brand operated by Northern Sky Inc., is set to hold its first international pop-up store in Le Marais, Paris. This pop-up event marks the brand's entry into the European market, showcasing its craftsmanship characterized by Japanese refinement and attention to detail from October 9 to 13, 2026.
The brand, known for its fusion of Japanese traditions with modern design, will give Paris visitors a chance to experience the unique fabric quality and artisan skills that define its collections. Products include shirts and denim crafted from materials sourced in the Kojima area of Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese denim, along with bow ties using traditional Nishijin-ori textiles from Kyoto.
Besides the children's clothing line, the pop-up will feature adult sizes along with an array of Kyoto-made ceramics and incense from ichiko ichie, another Kyoto-based brand. Adding to the cultural dimensions of the event, Japanese cultural workshops such as origami will be available, providing a platform for attendees to engage with classic Japanese art forms.
The event will be held at 28 Rue Saint-Claude, in the heart of Paris, known for its vibrant cultural and artistic scene. The store will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., closing early at 4 p.m. on the final day. A reception party is planned for October 9 at 4 p.m. to welcome visitors and industry stakeholders.
EAST END HIGHLANDERS' decision to branch out internationally reflects a strategic move to engage with a global audience that appreciates meticulous craftsmanship. The initiative highlights Northern Sky Inc.'s commitment to broadening its market reach while preserving the cultural heritage embedded in its products.
The event is anticipated to attract fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals eager to explore what Japanese craftsmanship has to offer beyond its domestic shores, marking a significant step for Northern Sky Inc. in positioning EAST END HIGHLANDERS as a global brand.
