Sony Music Solutions Expands Sota Fukushi’s Fan Club to South Korea and Taiwan

Sony Music Solutions Inc., in partnership with KEN ON Inc., has announced the expansion of its global fan club, “SoTime Fragment,” dedicated to Japanese actor Sota Fukushi, to South Korea and the Taiwan region. The service, available through the messaging app “yodel,” will launch in these markets today.

This strategic expansion follows Fukushi's growing popularity in international markets, highlighted by his prominent roles in projects such as the Netflix Korean drama “Can This Love Be Translated?” and the Japan-South Korea co-production film “TOKYO BURST.” Additionally, his upcoming film, “The Scar-faced Cat: Way of Asura,” marks his Taiwanese film debut, further boosting his international profile.

The fan club, initially launched in February, is designed to foster closer interactions with fans worldwide, allowing members to receive messages directly from Fukushi. By leveraging yodel's translation features, users can seamlessly enjoy content in their preferred language.

A special campaign will coincide with the expansion, offering new members a two-week free period of service, followed by the chance to receive a handwritten message and limited-edition signed wallpaper for those who continue their membership. Monthly membership costs are set at 6,500 KRW for South Korea and 140 TWD for the Taiwan region.

In a message to fans, Sota Fukushi expressed gratitude for the warm support from fans in South Korea and the Taiwan region and shared his enthusiasm for building closer connections with them. Future fan events in these regions are being considered.

The service is compatible with both smartphone and PC platforms, supporting iOS 14 or later, Android 7.0 or later, and Windows 11, as well as the latest version of macOS. Initially offered in Japanese, English, Korean, and traditional Chinese, yodel is poised to add more languages as it continues its global expansion.

This development underscores the growing trend of utilizing digital platforms to bridge cultural and linguistic boundaries in entertainment, allowing artists like Sota Fukushi to connect with a diverse international fanbase more intimately.
