Trusco Nakayama and Fujitsu Enhance HR Decision-Making with AI-Powered Platform

Trusco Nakayama Corporation and Fujitsu Limited have announced the successful acceleration of Trusco Nakayama's personnel transfer decision-making process through the use of Fujitsu's Data Intelligence PaaS. This platform, part of Fujitsu's Uvance business model, integrates data utilization with business execution, enabling faster and more informed HR decisions.

The initiative, completed in approximately four months, involved the development of an application that utilizes AI and mathematical optimization models to propose personnel transfer plans. These plans reflect Trusco Nakayama's diverse HR systems and decision-makers' criteria. The HR team began using the tool for personnel transfers in April 2026, marking a significant step in streamlining HR operations.

Fujitsu's Forward Deployed Engineers collaborated closely with Trusco Nakayama's HR section to understand and optimize the personnel transfer process. The application developed features three key characteristics: centralized management of dispersed HR data, creation of transfer plans using mathematical optimization, and AI-powered interactive decision support.

The centralized management system consolidates HR data from various sources onto Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS, allowing for comprehensive utilization necessary for personnel transfer planning. This facilitates multi-faceted considerations and enhances the efficiency of the decision-making process.

The mathematical optimization model, uniquely developed by Fujitsu, handles the complexity of personnel reshuffles involving up to 100 employees, reducing the time required to create transfer plans by approximately 98%. This model derives optimal transfer combinations from a vast number of possibilities, considering conditions such as years of service.

An AI chat function further supports HR personnel by confirming that transfer plans account for all relevant aspects. This interactive decision support allows HR teams to incorporate qualitative insights, such as employee career aspirations, into their final decisions.

Looking forward, Trusco Nakayama aims to promote strategic personnel transfers and develop a human resource strategy that fosters employee growth and sustainable business development. Fujitsu plans to strengthen its co-creation approach, advancing projects by engaging deeply with clients at operational sites and extending data-driven transformations beyond the HR domain.

Under its Uvance business model, Fujitsu seeks to address societal challenges and enhance corporate value through advanced decision-making in both financial and non-financial aspects, leveraging data and AI technologies.
