TANAKA to Showcase Precious Metal Technologies at SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026

TANAKA PRECIOUS METAL TECHNOLOGIES Co., Ltd. is set to exhibit its range of precious metal materials and technologies at SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026, taking place from May 5 to 7 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The company will present solutions supporting semiconductor industry processes, including front-end, packaging, and testing applications.

TANAKA's exhibits will feature bonding wires, silver sintering paste, AgSn TLP sheets, sputtering targets, probe pins, and various plating technologies. The company will also highlight its precious metal recycling and refining technologies, which contribute to a circular economy and sustainable practices within the semiconductor sector.

With a longstanding presence in Southeast Asia through TANAKA ELECTRONICS SINGAPORE and TANAKA ELECTRONICS (MALAYSIA), the company has established itself as a trusted partner in the region's semiconductor manufacturing industry. TANAKA's operations in Malaysia and the ASEAN region are backed by decades of experience in manufacturing and technical support.

Among the key products on display will be silver sintering paste, a conductive die-attach material compatible with silicon and next-generation semiconductors like silicon carbide and gallium nitride. This material offers high thermal conductivity and reliability, essential for advanced semiconductor applications.

The AgSn TLP sheet, another featured product, is designed for power semiconductors and supports high-current applications in electric vehicles and industrial infrastructure. It enables reliable bonding over large chip sizes and is lead-free, aligning with environmental sustainability goals.

TANAKA will also showcase its sputtering targets, which are crucial for hard disk drives and electronic components. The company emphasizes advanced purification and alloying in its production processes, ensuring compliance with raw material procurement standards and offering flexible delivery options.

Probe pin materials, essential for semiconductor testing, will be highlighted for their high conductivity and wear resistance. TANAKA has developed proprietary high-hardness materials, such as TK-SK and TK-SR, to meet the increasing demand for durable testing solutions.

In addition to showcasing products, TANAKA will demonstrate its capabilities in precious metal recovery and refining, providing a comprehensive recycling solution from collection to remanufacturing. These efforts support the development of a sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region.

SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 will serve as a platform for TANAKA to further strengthen its presence in the semiconductor industry and promote its initiatives in the circular use of precious metals. The exhibition is expected to attract key industry players and stakeholders, offering opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
