Hitachi Digital Services has announced a partnership with ServiceNow to enhance the management of mission-critical infrastructure through advanced AI-driven solutions. This collaboration aims to advance Hitachi Intelligent Infrastructure Monitoring (HIIM), a solution that provides real-time monitoring and remote inspection capabilities.
The partnership combines Hitachi’s operational technology expertise with ServiceNow’s AI platform to connect operational data and enterprise workflows. This integration enables teams to act on insights at scale, supporting Hitachi’s HMAX vision for intelligent solutions that optimize planning, prediction, and prevention in infrastructure management.
Chris Bedi, ServiceNow’s chief customer officer, emphasized the importance of acting on data across teams in real time, stating that the collaboration allows customers to move from reactive responses to autonomous resolutions. This shift is expected to reduce risk, protect workers, and maintain operations in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and mobility.
HIIM, a manufacturer-agnostic technology, integrates data from various sources like video, thermal imaging, and IoT sensors to offer continuous visibility into infrastructure health. When combined with ServiceNow’s AI-driven workflows, it enables automated enterprise-wide actions, facilitating real-time data compilation, workflow automation, and proactive issue resolution.
Srini Shankar, CEO of Hitachi Digital Services, highlighted the partnership’s role in eliminating disconnects between field operations and enterprise systems. He noted that in mission-critical environments, this capability is essential for preventing operational and business consequences.
