Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions Corporation has announced the delivery of 153 elevators and escalators for the first phase of the New Taipei Metro Sanying Line, set to open in summer 2026. The project, managed by Taiwan Mitsubishi Elevator Co., Ltd., includes 40 elevators and 113 escalators across 12 stations, as well as administrative and maintenance centers.
The new line, spanning 14.29 kilometers from Dingpu Station through Sanxia to Yingge, aims to enhance connectivity to central Taipei. By linking with existing railway lines, the Sanying Line is expected to reduce travel times and improve access for growing communities in the Sanxia and Yingge districts.
Among the delivered products, 19 elevators feature see-through designs, contributing to a brighter station environment, while six through-type elevators facilitate efficient passenger flow in limited spaces. Additionally, the escalators are equipped with automatic speed control to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
As Taiwan's public transportation infrastructure expands, the New Taipei Metro Sanying Line is anticipated to play a crucial role in the region's economic development, with future plans to connect with the Taoyuan Metro Green Line. Mitsubishi Electric and TMEC continue to support the development of safe and sustainable urban transportation in Taiwan.
