Bosch Home Comfort Group and Hitachi, Ltd. have announced a collaboration to enhance building management solutions through their new offering, 'HMAX for Buildings.' This suite combines Bosch's expertise in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) with Hitachi's advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
The collaboration aims to address the growing complexities in building management, which include labor shortages, the need for decarbonization, and rising energy costs. By focusing on maximizing the lifetime value of assets, Bosch and Hitachi seek to optimize operations and achieve energy savings for facilities such as office buildings, hospitals, and factories.
The integration of Bosch's 'air Cloud Pro' with Hitachi's 'exiida' under the 'BuilMirai' platform will enable enhanced remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and energy management. This initiative is expected to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs, thereby extending the asset lifetime value.
Both companies plan to conduct trials to verify the effectiveness of their solutions, aiming to expand their business globally. The partnership represents a significant step towards sophisticated digital services in the building management sector.
Bosch Home Comfort Group, a global provider of HVAC solutions, employs 24,000 people worldwide and reported sales of 4.4 billion euros in 2025.
