Keio Plaza Hotel Co., Ltd. has announced the schedule for its upcoming cultural experience workshop program titled “Journey into Japan: A Workshop of Cultural Discovery,” set to take place from May to August 2026. The program will be held regularly in the Art Lobby on the third floor of the Main Tower at the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo, located in the city's new central business district.
The workshops are designed to enhance guest experiences by offering a diverse range of cultural activities led by Japanese artists. These include paper cutting and wind chime painting, among other seasonal traditions. The program is particularly geared towards inbound travelers, who make up approximately 80-90% of the hotel's guests, providing them an opportunity to create their own artworks inspired by Japanese culture.
Since its inception, the “Journey into Japan” program has been well-received, with international guests participating during their free time due to the workshops' casual “drop-in anytime” nature. Participants have praised the experience, with some returning to the hotel specifically to join additional sessions.
The program aims to immerse guests in Japan's rich cultural and artistic traditions while linking them to the evolving global influences on Japanese culture. Participants can take home their creations as mementos, reflecting their experience and connection to Japan's seasonal and cultural diversity.
