TOMY to Launch ‘TOMICA XROSS RESCUE’ Animation and Toy Line in Asia

TOMY Company, Ltd. is poised to expand its footprint in the Asian market with the introduction of the 'TOMICA XROSS RESCUE' diorama-based short animation series and its corresponding toy line. The series is set to begin streaming on the company's official YouTube channel, TAKARATOMY CHANNEL, on August 26, 2026, and toys will launch October 1, 2026, in Japan, with subsequent releases in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

The 'TOMICA XROSS RESCUE' series, utilizing the popular TOMICA die-cast miniature cars, focuses on the heroic efforts of firefighters and their multifunctional rescue vehicles. This initiative aims to capture the interest of children who admire rescue workers, a theme that has already proven popular in Mainland China, where the series debuted in April 2026.

The toys include a mix of big vehicles, DX sets, and die-cast miniature cars, priced between JPY 715 and JPY 9,130. Among the highlights are the 'XR01 XROSS RESCUE DRAGON' and 'XROSS HOVER' models. TOMY will also roll out gift sets themed around the 'Dragon Team' and 'Tiger Team' from the animation series later in November.

Tadashi Sasuga, Senior General Manager, Head of Global TOMICA Division at TOMY, expressed confidence in the series' ability to resonate across generations and regions, building on its reception in China where it garnered over 6.2 million views across various platforms in just over four months.

The new product line will be available through major retail channels, including toy stores, department stores, and online platforms such as TOMY's official shopping site, TOMY MALL. The initiative underscores TOMY's strategy to leverage the TOMICA brand's strong presence in Asia, aiming to expand its market with the introduction of innovative and culturally resonant content.
