Siloam International Hospitals Achieves Magnet Distinction for Nursing Excellence

Siloam International Hospitals has achieved a significant milestone with two of its hospitals receiving Magnet® with Distinction Recognition, marking a first for Indonesia. Siloam Hospitals Kebon Jeruk and Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village were awarded this prestigious recognition in June 2026, making Siloam the only hospital network in Southeast Asia with more than one hospital recognized at this level.

The Magnet Recognition® is awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is considered the gold standard for nursing excellence. The Magnet® with Distinction, introduced in 2022, is the highest level of recognition, honoring top-performing healthcare organizations based on empirical outcomes that exceed the rigorous Magnet® standards.

This achievement places Siloam among an elite group of only 95 healthcare organizations worldwide that have reached this level. The recognition underscores Siloam's commitment to nursing excellence and highlights Indonesia's position as a country with world-class nursing standards.

Caroline Riady, CEO of Siloam International Hospitals, emphasized the importance of the recognition, stating that it reflects the dedication and professionalism of Siloam nurses who provide exceptional care. She noted that the combination of clinical excellence and compassionate care is crucial for high-quality healthcare.

Jessi Rahardja, Nursing General Manager of Siloam International Hospitals, explained that achieving Magnet Recognition® requires a sustained commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and patient-centered care. She highlighted the tangible impact on patient outcomes, including better care experiences and stronger coordination.

Siloam's success is attributed to its long-term investment in developing the nursing profession and healthcare workforce. The organization has established an integrated education ecosystem to enhance clinical competencies and leadership capabilities, supporting its People First pillar.

Looking ahead, Siloam plans to continue fostering a culture of nursing excellence across its network, ensuring access to internationally benchmarked healthcare services for Indonesians. This commitment aims to improve clinical outcomes and reduce the need for patients to seek treatment overseas.

In addition to the Magnet® with Distinction recognition, Siloam International Hospitals has received several international accolades, including awards at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026, further solidifying its leadership in delivering world-class healthcare.
