Mazda to Begin Local Assembly of CX-30 in Indonesia

Mazda Motor Corporation announced plans to commence local assembly of the MAZDA CX-30 in Indonesia starting July 29, 2026. The initiative marks a strategic move to bolster Mazda's presence in the ASEAN region, with Indonesia identified as a key market alongside Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The local assembly operations will be managed by PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), Mazda's exclusive distributor in the country, and its subsidiary, PT Eurokars Produksi Pratama (EPP). These operations will be conducted on a dedicated Mazda production line, emphasizing the company's commitment to maintaining its global quality standards.

Mazda is implementing its Lean Asset Strategy to enhance local production and distribution, ensuring high-quality and reliable vehicles for Indonesian consumers. The company is supporting the launch through personnel development, technical support, and the introduction of production equipment, alongside the supply of necessary parts.

Toru Nakajima, Mazda's Senior Executive Officer, highlighted the significance of this milestone during the production launch ceremony. Nakajima emphasized the importance of Indonesia as a growing market for Mazda, noting the potential for continued sales growth and brand strengthening in the region.

Mazda aims to deepen customer trust and enhance the ownership experience by aligning its product lineup with local market needs. The company plans to work closely with business partners to contribute to the development of Indonesia's automotive industry, positioning Indonesia as a central hub within the ASEAN region.
