NEC Corporation Wins Newsweek AI Impact Award for Management Dashboard Initiative

NEC Corporation has been recognized with a Newsweek AI Impact Award 2026 for its Management Dashboard initiative, which aims to enhance decision-making processes using artificial intelligence. The company was honored in the category of AI Workplace: Best Outcomes, Leadership and Succession Planning.

The accolade was awarded by a panel of expert judges who evaluated NEC's use of AI technology to address significant business challenges and improve technical capabilities across various industry segments. The initiative is part of NEC's broader strategy to implement cutting-edge technologies internally, known as its 'Client Zero' strategy.

NEC's Management Dashboard standardizes processes and data across the company, visualizing approximately 100 categories of management information in areas such as finance, HR, and IT. This data is accessible to all employees, from executives to general staff, fostering engagement in analysis and decision-making activities.

The dashboards utilize dotData, an AI-powered data analytics platform, to display actual results and performance forecasts, enabling users to make informed decisions swiftly. dotData automates the data science process, providing a one-stop solution for AI development, from feature extraction to predictive model building.

As the exclusive distributor of dotData in Japan, NEC has successfully implemented the platform across various companies, demonstrating its end-to-end capabilities in AI support services. The company also launched the Management Strategy Support Cockpit in April 2026, a service designed to assist department heads and executives in optimizing decision-making through data utilization.

NEC continues to focus on developing safe, secure, and responsible AI technologies to support digital transformation efforts and help customers overcome business challenges. The company's restructuring under the 'NEC BluStellar' value creation model aims to transform business models and address social and management issues through advanced cross-industry expertise and technology.
