Honda Expands eGX Series with High-Output Models for Global Markets

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. is set to introduce three new high-output models to its eGX Series, expanding its electric power unit offerings for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The new models, GXE4.0D, GXE6.0D, and GXE9.0D, will be available starting this fall, initially in Japan and later in Europe and the U.S.

These models will be unveiled at the 8th International Construction & Survey Productivity Improvement EXPO (CSPI 2026) in Chiba, Japan. Honda's eGX Series, known for its low noise and zero exhaust emissions, has been used primarily for small-sized equipment. The new additions, with outputs of 3.7 kW, 6.0 kW, and 8.7 kW, are designed for larger construction and industrial equipment.

The high-output models incorporate motor components from Honda's electric motorcycles and use the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: (MPP) swappable battery, allowing for continuous use by swapping batteries. This feature reduces operational downtime and enhances work efficiency.

Honda has already supplied these models to some Japanese manufacturers as validation models, ensuring performance and durability. The new models will be available globally as mass-production models, offering greater flexibility for equipment manufacturers in product design.

At CSPI 2026, Honda will showcase its eGX Series and other electric products, highlighting its commitment to reducing environmental impact in the construction and industrial sectors. The exhibition will feature various electric and gasoline-powered products, including the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: and electric motorcycle models.
