Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, a division of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group, has been recognized with two prestigious awards at the A' Design Award 2026 in Italy. The company received accolades for its Hydrolution EZY Series of air-to-water heat pumps and the ZT Series of residential air conditioners.
The Hydrolution EZY Series, designed by Tensa Industrial Design, was honored with the Platinum Award, placing it in the top 1% of entries. This series utilizes the natural refrigerant R290 and features a sophisticated design that integrates seamlessly into its environment. The units are capable of reaching a flow temperature of 75°C and operating efficiently even at extreme temperatures ranging from -25°C to +43°C. They are also equipped with a refrigerant leak detection sensor for enhanced safety.
The ZT Series, awarded the Golden Award, represents a redesign of the earlier ZS Series. Created by Diamond Office Service Co., Ltd., the air conditioners offer a modern aesthetic that fits contemporary interiors. They boast a 12% improvement in energy efficiency during the cooling season and feature an Ultra-Low mode that reduces operating noise to 19 dB(A). The units also include an Allergen Clear Filter and internal cleaning function, along with built-in wireless LAN functionality for remote control via the Smart M-Air app.
The A' Design Award, established in 2008, aims to elevate global design quality and appreciation across various categories, including products, architecture, and fashion. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems' recognition at this event underscores its commitment to developing technologies that meet market needs and provide optimal heating and cooling solutions.
