JCB International Co., Ltd. has entered into a partnership with the Credit Card Association of the Philippines (CCAP) to promote financial literacy and responsible credit card use across the Philippines.
The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement signed on April 30, 2026, by CCAP Chairman Rolando P. Ebreo and President Geraldine C. Liggayu at the RCBC Office, Robinsons Equitable Tower. JCB International's Executive Vice President Takumi Takahashi signed the agreement at JCB’s headquarters in Japan.
The partnership aims to equip Filipino consumers with the tools and knowledge needed to make informed financial decisions. Key initiatives include developing localized financial education materials and supporting advocacy campaigns that emphasize sound financial management.
Among the initiatives is the introduction of “Credit Card 101” sessions designed to provide practical and easy-to-understand guidance on building healthy financial habits. The agreement also includes the co-creation and sharing of educational content across platforms to engage broader audiences, particularly young people.
This strategic alliance reflects the shared commitment of JCB and CCAP to advance financial literacy in the Philippines, fostering a secure and inclusive payments ecosystem.
