Honda Launches Super-ONE Compact EV in Japan

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. is set to launch its new compact electric vehicle, the Honda Super-ONE, in Japan on April 22, 2026. The vehicle is designed under the concept of “e: Dash BOOSTER” to provide an exciting and uplifting driving experience.

The Super-ONE, based on the Honda N-ONE e: platform, features a dedicated chassis with a wider vehicle width. It aims to deliver a unique value proposition by combining environmental performance with a sporty driving experience. The model includes five driving modes: ECON, CITY, NORMAL, SPORT, and BOOST, catering to diverse driving preferences.

Design elements such as blister fenders and aerodynamic air ducts enhance the vehicle's dynamic appearance. The interior features sports seats and a horizontal instrument panel for improved visibility, contributing to an engaging driving experience. The Super-ONE also boasts a lightweight design, with a vehicle weight of 1,090 kg, and a wide tread of 1,345 mm for enhanced handling.

The power unit of the Super-ONE includes a compact e-Axle and a high-capacity battery, offering a range of 274 km per charge in WLTC mode. The BOOST Mode increases power output from 47kW to 70kW, providing sharp acceleration. The vehicle also features a simulated 7-speed transmission and an Active Sound Control system to mimic traditional engine sounds.

Additional features include the Bose Premium Sound System and a 9-inch Honda CONNECT display with Google integration. The Super-ONE is equipped with Honda SENSING, a suite of driver-assistive technologies, enhancing safety and convenience.

The Super-ONE is priced at 3,390,200 yen, including a 10% consumption tax. It offers several body color options, with additional charges for certain finishes. Honda plans to expand its EV lineup in Japan, including a future EV variation of the N-BOX model.
