Anime Tokyo Station, an exhibition facility dedicated to Japanese anime, marks its first anniversary on Roblox by unveiling new content and offering both virtual and physical gifts. Since its launch, the Anime Tokyo Station hub on Roblox has attracted over 630,000 players globally, while the physical venue in Tokyo has hosted more than 250,000 visitors.
To celebrate the anniversary, Anime Tokyo Station plans to expand its Roblox hub with updates to existing games and the addition of new features. Notably, the ANIME★OTODAMA game introduces a “Momotaro” scenario, adding new gameplay elements based on the legendary Japanese fairy tale. Meanwhile, the ANIME★SKILL TCG game will be enriched with new cards and a minigame, enhancing player interaction.
A special promotion rewards the first 2,000 players who complete a designated mission on January 30 with exclusive in-game items, such as the “Shoulder-Perched Cat Train Conductors” for avatar customization. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to earn commemorative badges by participating in the anniversary event, which continue through March 31.
Visitors to the real-world Anime Tokyo Station in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, can also benefit from the anniversary celebration. By presenting an in-game badge, individuals receive exclusive pouches until March 31, subject to availability.
The Roblox platform, known for its immersive social gaming environment, sees significant growth in the Japanese market, with user numbers increasing by 56% year over year. This expansion is complemented by broader adoption in education and business sectors.
