Mazda Unveils New Electric Vehicle, the MAZDA CX-6e

Mazda Motor Corporation announced on January 12 the debut of the MAZDA CX-6e, a brand new battery electric vehicle, intended for the European and Australian markets among others. This vehicle made its world debut at the Brussels Motor Show in Belgium on January 9. The MAZDA CX-6e is set to launch in Europe this summer and is scheduled for introduction in Australia later this year.

Building on the MAZDA EZ-60, which was unveiled at last year’s Shanghai Motor Show, the new Mazda CX-6e is the second model in Mazda’s collaborative battery EV lineup. Building off the success of the MAZDA 6e, this crossover SUV is a collaborative venture with Changan Automobile Co., offering a versatile solution suitable for a variety of lifestyles.

The design of the new vehicle is based upon the ‘FUTURE + SOUL x MODERN’ concept, combining beautiful sculpture with advanced technology. The driving dynamics are optimized for European market preferences. To ensure a safer, more comfortable mobility experience, the vehicle includes intelligent technologies such as voice and gesture recognition, advanced driver assistance systems, and digital side mirrors.

The MAZDA 6e electric vehicle, launched in September, has performed well in the European market, achieving sales of over 7,000 units. With the introduction of the CX-6e, Mazda expands its battery EV lineup to cater to increasing customer demand. Mazda aims to provide the ‘Joy of Living’ by creating enjoyable mobility experiences in its customers’ daily lives.
